Rev. David Davies 1887 - 1907
During the time of the Rev. David Davies the congregations and membership grew, and he was persuaded to publish his sermons weekly in a series of booklets.
There were various organisations for young people and children; and the Young Women's Christian Institute, founded by Mr. Congreve at the Gymnasium Church, soon had a home built next door to the Church Hall. In the 1890s the Stoneham Hall Mission Church began as an attempt to reach the Young people with the gospel, and Holland Road took it under it's wing in 1901.
