History
In the late 1800's evangelistic meetings were held at the Gymnasium in Western Road, Hove, and a little church formed there.
This group of 40 Christians then had the vision to build a new church and with the support of a benefactor, Mr.George T. Congreve, manufacturer of 'Congreve's Cough Elixir' the current church at Holland Road was built. The new church had the capacity to seat 800 people.
Click on the period of service (1907 - 1917 for example) for more information about what God achieved through each pastor and through the church during that time.
