Meet the leaders

3D Youth is run by many different youth leaders - all of us have a passion for working with young people and helping young people to come to know Jesus.

Below are some photos and a little bit of information about all our youth leaders.

Adam Clayton

Adam Clayton

Adam has been at HRBC since 1998. He is married to the amazing Sarah, has three beautiful children and works as a school teacher. Adam oversees 3D Youth with Sarah. He loves beautiful places, making beautiful things and the beautiful game, if that's what you call it when played by Luton Town.

Sarah Clayton

Sarah Clayton

Sarah oversees 3D Youth at HRBC with Adam. Sarah helps with D6:8 on Friday nights and co-ordinates the youth mentoring. She is a mum of three little ones, a vet and Adam's unpaid PA. Given the gift of free-time, Sarah would love to spend quality time with a good book. She also enjoys walking in beautiful places and the great outdoors.

Emma Fletcher

Emma Fletcher

Emma co-ordinates 3D on Sunday mornings and helps out with HD from time to time. She enjoys travelling, spending time with friends and family and playing the flute.

Gary and Laura Lurcock

Gary and Laura Lurcock

Gary leads D6:8 on Friday nights and also helps with 3D on Sunday mornings, and Laura helps with the admin and finance of 3D Youth. Gary loves football, movies, curries and Star Wars. Laura loves the beach, chocolate, reading and they both love spending time with their family and friends.

Louise Chapman

Louise Chapman

Louise helps out with 3D on Sunday mornings and other projects as much as she is able. She works full time as a vet, and in her free time enjoys outdoor pursuits, painting, singing in a gospel choir and catching up with friends and family. Her favourite chocolate is Green and Black's Maya Gold, and one of her ambitions is to get the opportunity to see elephants in the wild.

Wesley Goh

Wesley Goh

Wesley helps out with 3D on Sunday mornings and is also involved in the International group ministry at HRBC. Wesley works as a lawyer and has a wide range of interests such as sports, politics, music, art, cultures, cooking and travelling. He has travelled extensively around Europe, Asia, Australia and Africa.

Gemma Winter

Gemma Winter

Gemma helps at HD on Thursday nights. Gemma lives in Brighton, works in retail and is a self-employed printmaker. Gemma is passionate about all forms of art and enjoys reading, cinema, sports, dancing, plus catching up and spending time with family and friends.

Jason Fry

Jason Fry

Jason is one of the leaders of D6:8 on a Friday. He is currently interning at the church but used to work making top secret apps for mobile phones. He'll usually be seen wandering around with an iPad in his hand or tinkering with something technical. He also enjoys playing various guitars and singing (badly) in the shower.

Steve Whitfield

Steve Whitfield

Steve is studying for a PhD at the University of Sussex and his research is focused on sustainable agirculture in Africa.  Steve has been in Brighton since May and just got married this summer.  Steve enjoys watching and playing sports, hiking, and reading. With his wife, Rachel, he has recently started helping out at D6:8 on Friday nights.

Rachel Whitfield

Rachel Whitfield

Rachel is a research assistant with IDS (Institute for Development Studies) at the University of Sussex, and research topics relating to sustainable agriculture in Africa.  Rachel just moved to Brighton at the end of September after getting married in the States (which is where she's from!).  Rachel loves gardening and being outside in general, and has a real passion for organic and sustainable farming.  Rachel also really loves making pottery (on the wheel).  God has blessed Rachel and her husband, Steve, with a real heart for youth, and as such they've both just started helping out with D6:8 on Friday nights.

Anna Deuk

Anna Deuk

Anna works as a trainee dispenser at Boots the Chemist, which she loves because she gets to meet loads of weird and wonderful people. Anna loves to sing and write quirky songs. Anna plays guitar, but says her playing is so bad that it makes people cry! Anna loves helping at D6:8 on Fridays.

Lydia Serjeant

Lydia Serjeant

Lydia is one of the leaders at D6:8 on a Friday night. She is a 3rd year student at Brighton and Sussex Medical School and is originally from Suffolk, which will always be home! Coming to church at Holland Road and getting involved in the youth work has been a great part of the busy but fun student life in Brighton. She loves chocolate, tea, the beach and any time spent with family and friends.
