Rev. Rhys Stenner 1992 - 2005

During Rhy's time as pastor, the church saw growth in many areas including in full time staff with Phillip Deuk and David Treneer and the introduction of Ministry Group Leaders supporting ministries all areas of church life - aiming to see 'Every Member Ministry' become a reality.

Small Groups were developed not only to encourage bible study and prayer but also to provide support for each of those involved, with many other training courses introduced, exploring areas such as spiritual gifts, evangelism styles, stewardship and Alpha courses.

1998/99 saw the Refurbishment of the New Hall take place and the purchase of 65 Holland Road.  Missions to Wales began, and a number of partnership connections were developed with New Hope Baptist Church, Atlanta. In 2005 Rhys was invited by New Hope Baptist Church to serve as their pastor, and felt a strong call of God - with the support of the elders - to pursue this call.  It was an enormous move for the family to head out to Atlanta, US, in November '05, but partnership and close relationships have continued both personally and between the two churches, particularly in the context of missions to Wales.
